The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Little Cloud and The Mixed-up Chameleon, by award-winning children’s book illustrator and writer, Eric Carle, are brilliantly retold on stage in black light in this visually stunning performance.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar follows the wonderful adventures of an extremely tiny but very hungry caterpillar who munches his way through an amazing variety of foods as he approaches his eventual metamorphosis into a beautiful butterfly.

Children will delight in the antics of Little Cloud. High up in a beautiful sky, Little Cloud slips away and transforms into the shapes of various things it sees: a sheep, and airplane, a shark, and more.

In The Mixed-Up Chameleon, a little chameleon is bored with spending its life sitting about predictably changing color all day. So it decides to embark on an adventurous trip to the zoo. Upon seeing the beautiful animals there, the little chameleon tries changing to look like each one. Ages 3+

Each year Mermaid Theatre stages more than 400 performances for 200,000 spectators. Regularly crossing North America, they have also appeared around the world, from Japan to Australia, Hong Kong to Holland, and Singapore to Scotland.

They are best known for unique stage adaptations of children’s beloved literary classics.
Innovative puppetry, striking scenic effects, evocative original music and gentle storytelling have been applauded by five million spectators in fifteen countries.
